Raquel Welch was born on 5 September, 1940, in Chicago, U.S. Her real name was Jo Raquel Tejada.

Welch was an American actress and model. She was also referred to as a leading s*x symbol of the 1960s-70s era.


Welch started learning ballet when she was 7 years old. She studied ballet for nearly ten years.


At 14, she won the beauty titles of "Miss Photogenic" and "Miss Contour." She also won the titles of Miss La Jolla & Miss San Diego.


In 1960, at the age of 20, she also worked as the weather presenter at a local TV station in San Diego.


Welch's most successful film was "The Three Musketeers" (1973), for which she won a Golden Globe in 1974.

She first appeared in the film "A House is Not a Home"(1964). She worked in 37 movies, & her last film was "How to Be a Latin Lover" (2017).


In 1964, Welch also played a small role in the Elvis Presley-starring musical feature film "Roustabout."

In her life, Welch was married 4 times and had two children. She first married in 1959 to James Welch, & 4th in 1999 to Richie Palmer.

Playboy magazine ranked her no. 3 on their list of the "100 Sexiest Stars of the Twentieth Century."


Welch died on Feb 15, 2023 (at the age of 82) after a brief illness. She had a net worth of $40 dollar at the time of her death.
