John Lennon, Born on 9 October, 1940, in Liverpool, England. His real name was John Winston Ono Lennon.


In 1956, at the age of 16, Lennon formed "The Quarrymen" which later evolved into the famous musical band "The Beatles" by 1960.


In 1958, his mother died in a car accident. Due to this trauma, John became an alcoholic and used to get involved in fights for almost 2 years.


In 1968, John Lennon released a song with The Beatles called "Julia," which was inspired by the memory of his mother.


Lennon married twice in his life: first he married with Cynthia Powell in 1962 & 2nd he married with Yoko Ono in 1969.


In 1969, Lennon and his second wife, 'Yoko Ono, formed a rock band called the "Plastic Ono Band."


As a writer & performer, Lennon's 25 singles achieved the position of No. 1 in the list of the Billboard Hot 100.


His 1981 released album "Double Fantasy", which was also his best-selling album, won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.


In 1997, Lennon was inducted into the "Songwriters Hall of Fame" & twice into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."


On 8 December, 1980, Lennon was tragically assassinated by Mark David Chapman, a Beatles fan who was jealous and obsessed with him.
