Larry Bird was born on 7 December, 1956, in Indiana, U.S. His real name is Larry Joe Bird.


He was also nicknamed "the Hick from French Lick" and "Larry Legend".


Larry Bird was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1979 and played his entire professional career with the team until 1992.


 He played 13 seasons of professional basketball, during which he won three NBA championships with the Celtics.


Larry Bird was named a three-time NBA Most Valuable Player & was a 12-time NBA All-Star.


He played 897 games in his professional career, In which he scored 21,791 points with an average of 24.3.
